Obituary of Michael J. Supple

Retired Bridgeport Police Detective Michael J. Supple, age 68, of North Haven, a retired detective for the Bridgeport Police Department, died suddenly on Tuesday, April 20, 2010 in St. Vincents Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on May 10, 1941, he was a son of the late Jerome A. and Caroline Smallwood Supple Sr. and a U. S. Marine Corps veteran serving during the Vietnam War. For the last 19 years, he was an expert latent finger printer for the Connecticut State Police Forensic Lab and was also a member of the International Association for Identification. Survivors include his wife Elsie Terri Grauer Supple, a son Michael J. Supple Jr. and his wife Lisa of Bridgeport, two daughters, Kim Parsons and her husband Bob of Wolcott and Kerry Steinfeld and her husband Michael of Woodbridge, a brother, Jerome Supple Jr. and his wife Barbara of Stratford, a sister Helen Milano and her husband Anthony of Trumbull, two step-sons Michael L. Long and his wife Patricia of Bridgeport and Douglas W. Long and a step-daughter, Linda Jo Long of Naugatuck, nine grandchildren and three great grandchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, April 24, 2010 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
