Obituary of Nino Robert Suffredini

Resident of Southbury Nino Robert Suffredini age 74 of Southbury, CT passed away on March 11, 2011 at Danbury Hospital. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Maria Biagioni and Giustino Suffredini. In addition to his wife Sandra Suffredini, he is survived by his loving daughters and their husbands Michele and Joseph Velky, Maria Hornak-Houle and Jim Houle, and daughter Lee Anne Neves all of Southbury. He is also survived by his grandchildren, his shining stars, Michael, Brianna and Joseph Velky, Alex and Keith Hornak and Anthony Neves. He is predeceased by his sisters Lydia Iacomacci and Emily Pinciaro and is survived by his sister Louise Suffredini of Florida. He is survived by several nieces and nephews with whom he shared his home on many a family gathering. Formally from Monroe, CT, Nino had a memorable career at Burndy Corporation in Norwalk, CT as Director of Engineering. Nino was a dedicated, loyal, trustworthy employee for over 40 years even accompanying the transition of Burndy to FCI USA, Inc. to Pennsylvania. Inventor, mentor, leader he was known to have the uncanny ability to anticipate problems before they arose and propose solutions to stave them off. Awarded patents for his work, Ninos ingenuity, insight, and creativity were cornerstones of his outstanding contribution to Burndy and its customers. He was the consummate professional and supported those who worked under his direction. Nino was respected by his colleagues and was held in the highest regard by those he worked with abroad. Known to his family as the computer genius, the accomplished architect, and the master techno-gadget man, Nino will be greatly missed. He will always remain in the hearts of those who loved him.
