Obituary of Lawrence D. Steele

Purple Heart Recipient Lawrence D. Steele, age 78 of Trumbull and formerly of Stratford, beloved husband of Noel Brady Steele, passed away peacefully on April 21, 2011. Born in New York City, on May 21, 1932, he was the son of the late Francis and Helen Steele. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Larry was a recipient of the Purple Heart. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. In addition to his loving wife Noel, survivors include his two children, a son, Mark Steele and his wife Theresa of Sparta, NJ, and a daughter, Daneen Steele- Lewis and her husband Pascal of New York City, a special nephew Steve Finnegan, 10 blessed grandchildren as well as several additional nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 26, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call Tuesday morning from 9-10:30 am.
