Obituary of Marion A. Sorrentino

Resident of Stratford Marion Ann (Patrick) Sorrentino, age 83, of Stratford, daughter of the late Jesse Patrick and Anna Patrick Norko, died peacefully on Wednesday, June 28, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center in Bridgeport. Born on July 22, 1922, she was for 47 years the loving and devoted wife of the late Benjamin Joseph Sorrentino. She is survived by her beloved daughters, Elaine Jones of Monroe and her husband, Ervin, Linda Groves of Woodbury and her husband, Charlie, Karen Flagg of San Anselmo, California and her husband, Robert and Luann Conine of Shelton. She is also survived by her much adored grandchildren and great grandchildren, Mark Rajotte and his children, Eli and Margaux Rajotte, Matthew Groves and his daughter, Julia Marion Groves, Jennifer Groves, Jonathan Conine and Philip Conine as well as her sisters-in-law, Fran Salce of Fairfield and Frances Sorrentino of Bridgeport and several nieces and nephews. Marion was a lifelong resident of Lordship and a faithful communicant of Our Lady of Peace Parish. She found great joy in her family, her flower gardens, cooking, quilting, and riding her bike to the beach on a beautiful day. Marion and her family are especially grateful for the loving care and friendship of her doctor, Frank Scifo, and Barbara Colangelo, who was like a daughter to her. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Peace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
