Obituary of Antonio C. Bozzuti

Antonio C. Bozzuti passed away after a long illness on March 5, 2012 at The Hospital of St. Raphael in New Haven, CT. He was predeceased by his parents Dominick & Josephine Bozzuti. He loved living close to the beach and was a Milford Resident for the more than 40 years. Antonio was born in the Bronx, New York on July 17, 1933. After graduating from Fordham University, Antonio truly enjoyed his career as a foreign language teacher at P.S.135 in the Bronx where he taught both Italian and Spanish for more than 30 years. He was an honorable member of Forum of Italian American Educators (FIAME) and was named "Teacher of the Year in 1989". Tony enjoyed the finer things in life and was a gourmet chef who loved entertaining, fine dining and traveling the world. His wonderful smile and charming ways will be missed by his family, friends and neighbors. He is survived by his first cousin Marie (Bozzuti) Beltrami and his Nephew Nicholas Carozza and his wife Eleana Carozza and son Ernesto Carozza. Interment was at St. Raymond's Cemetery in the Bronx where he was reunited and placed to rest with his parents.
