Obituary of Ruth M. Silver

Loving Mother, Grandmother and Sister Ruth M. Riccio Silver, age 81, of Stratford, died peacefully on Thursday August 25, 2011 at her home after a brief illness with her family by her side. Born in Bridgeport on October 22, 1929, she was a daughter of the late John and Angelina Roberto Riccio. Ruth was a retired employee of Sikorsky Aircraft and was formerly employed by Avco Lycoming. She was a loving mother, grandmother and sister who will be deeply missed. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Frank and Raymond Riccio and three sisters, Marie Piccirillo, Dorothy Drinkwine, Nancy Riccio and brother-in-law, Joseph Fazio. Survivors include two loving children, Robert Silver of Philadelphia, PA and Lynn Reno and her husband James of Scotts Valley, CA, three cherished grandchildren, Stephanie, Julie and Alex Reno; two sisters, Jean Fazio of Stratford and Anita Salce and her husband Paul of Shelton, brother-in-law Michael Piccirillo of Stratford and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, August 30, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. James Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford.
