Obituary of Eleanor P. Serritella

Resident of Stratford Eleanor Varnelli Serritella, age 84, entered into rest on Thursday, December 21, 2006 in Milford Health Care Center. She was the devoted wife of the late Leonard Serritella. Born in Bridgeport, Ct. on November 9, 1922, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Mary DePeano Varnelli. She was a resident of Stratford for 35 years. Previously she was a proud resident of the East End of Bridgeport and graduated from Warren Harding High School class of 1939 at the age of 16. She was a member of numerous associations and societies of Blessed Sacrament Church in Bridgeport and Our Lady of Grace Church of Stratford. She worked at D.M. Reads in Bridgeport, Avco Lycoming, New Haven Travel Agency and Rotary Travel Agency. She leaves behind to cherish her memory two daughters she affectionately referred to as her girls, Mary Lou Sewell of Milford and Lenore Daninhirsch and her husband, Stuart, also of Milford. She will be deeply missed by her loving grandchildren, David Sewell and his wife Alexa of Manhattan; Kerry Wetmore and her husband Chris of Milford and Justin Frazier and his wife, Melissa of California; and a great granddaughter Anna Sewell of Manhattan. She was so proud of each of them and her greatest love was watching them grow. She is also survived by many special nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 23, 2006 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
