Obituary of Elsie Sedita

Elsie (Rosina) Viglione Sedita, age 92, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late James Sedita, died peacefully on Tuesday, May 24, 2011 in the Jewish Home for the Elderly. Born in Faeto, Province of Foggia, Italy on September 16, 1918, she was a daughter of the late Vito and Virginia Lanave Viglione. Prior to her retirement, Elsie worked at St. Joseph High School in the cafeteria. She enjoyed knitting, crocheting and cooking for her entire family. She was a member of the Trumbull Democratic Town Committee and a founding member of St. Catherine of Siena Church where she was active in the Friendship Club. Survivors include two daughters, Patricia Biondi and her husband David and Sandra Masso and her husband Frank, all of Shelton, son-in-law, Raymond Franko of Oxford, nine grandchildren, and 20 great grandchildren as well as many nieces and nephews. In addition to her husband, she was pre-deceased by a daughter, Marie Franko, four brothers, Salvatore, Anthony, Albert and Louis Viglione and three sisters, Clara DAndrea, Angela Rossi and an infant sister, Maria Viglione. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to the caregivers at the Jewish Home for the love and care given to Elsie. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, May 27, 2011 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Catherine of Siena Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
