Obituary of Anthony J. Scinto
U. S. Army Veteran
Anthony J. Scinto, age 83, of Stratford, a retired foreman for Sikorsky Aircraft with 40 years of service, died on Friday, July 11, 2008 at his residence with his loving family by his side. Born in Bridgeport on June 15, 1925, he was the son of the late Joseph and Rocchina DelVecchio Scinto. A U. S. Army veteran of World War II, he was a 4th Degree Knight for the Knights of Columbus, St. Frances Cabrini Council 4096. He was an avid sportsman who enjoyed watching baseball and football and also enjoyed playing pinochle. Mr. Scinto was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be sadly missed.
Survivors include his devoted wife of 54 years, Dolores Rende Scinto, two loving children, Robert Scinto and his wife Sharon of Oxford and Linda Rossetti and her husband Rocco of Shelton, three cherished grandchildren, Anthony and Jeanette Scinto and Joseph Rossetti, a cousin, Lucille Puglise and her husband Tom of Stratford and several nieces and nephews. Though he never had brothers and sisters of his own, he is survived by many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law who treated him like one of their own siblings. Funeral Information
Funeral Services will take place on Tuesday, July 15, 2008 at 10:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Grace Church, 497 Second Hill Lane, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends and relatives may call on Tuesday morning from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service. Donations Information
