Obituary of Mariantonia Coppola Federici

Devoted Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Great Great Grandmother Mariantonia Coppola Federici, age 90, devoted mother, grandmother and great grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday April 14, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital with her loving family by her side. Born on June 18, 1921 in Castlegrande, Province of Potenza, Italy she was a daughter of the late Francesco and Caterina Federici Coppola. Mrs. Federici came to the United States in 1953 and settled in Bridgeport before residing in Florida for the past 20 years. She was a retired employee of Casco Corp with over 18 years of dedicated service. Mamma was an exceptional cook, which was her greatest passion. Maria was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother and great great grandmother, who dedicated herself to the care of her family. She was so very proud to have been able to see five generations of her family. Her values and legacy will continue to live on through the many generations. She was predeceased by her husband Pasquale Federici, a daughter, Francesca Federici, brother Guiseppe Coppola and sister Teresa Sansone. Survivors include, six devoted children, Rosanna Colona of New York, Nicola Federici and his wife Carol of Montreal Canada, Caterina Moretti-Fortin and her husband Dennis of Stratford, Christina Federici of Stratford, Frank Federici of Florida and Teresa Winans and her husband Justin of CT; 13 cherished grandchildren, 14 adored great grandchildren, three great great grandchildren, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, April 18, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Relatives and friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
