Obituary of Angelo Savo

Resident of Derby Angelo Savo, age 85, of Derby, beloved husband of the late Maria (Mary) Alfano Savo, died peacefully on Sunday, April 29, 2012 at Milford Hospital. Born on June 17, 1926 in Torrice, Province of Frosinone, Italy, he was a son of the late Luigi and Angela Cerquozzi Savo. Angelo was a retired custodian for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education. He was predeceased by four brothers, Santo, Chester, Enrico and Pasqualine and three sisters, Teresa, Alvera and Marietta. Survivors include three children, David Savo and his wife Pamela of Derby, Michael Savo and his wife Carol of Salem, Virginia and Rita Mattingly and her husband Christopher of Seymour, five grandchildren, David Savo and his wife Jennifer of Naugatuck, Laurie Savo of Derby, Michelle Savo of Virginia and Melissa and Brianna Mattingly of Seymour, three sisters-in-law, Rose Savo, Felicia Savo and Marge Chuka as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, May 3, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in the Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of ones choice.
