Obituary of Carl C. Sannino
Resident of Monroe
Carl C. Sannino, age 74, of Monroe, a retired foreman for Derby Glass, died on Thursday, January 12, 2006 in St. Vincent Medical Center with his loving family by his side. Born in South Norwalk on May 2, 1931, he was a son of the late Gene and Antoinette Cocco Sannino and a U. S. Army veteran of World War II. A resident of Monroe for 44 years, he was a member of the Sons of Italy, the Knights of Columbus and the Marchegiana Society and a former member the Elks Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 52 years, Elizabeth Diorio Sannino, his devoted brother, Rudolph M. Sannino of Hamden, a sister, Dolores Morley and her husband, George of North Carolina, a brother-in-law, Vincent Diorio, a sister-in-law, Ann Schilkowski, two aunts, Ann Cocco and Bernice Cocco as well as several nieces, nephews and godchildren. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Leonard Sannino and his wife, Virginia and a sister, Donna Sannino. The Sannino Family would like to extend a special thanks to the physicians and staff of St. Vincents Medical Center Cardiac Unit, ICU, 9th Floor North for the excellent care given. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, January 17, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information
