Obituary of Theresa C. Russo
Theresa C. Gentile Russo, age 85, of Fairfield, a retired cafeteria worker for the Fairfield Board of Education at Andrew Warde High School died Wednesday, October 20, 2004 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 17, she was a daughter of the late Salvatore and Louise Gentile and was a Fairfield resident for 55 years. Mrs. Russo was a parishioner of Holy Family Church and a member of American Legion, Unit #143 of Fairfield. She was an avid UCONN Womens and Mens basketball fan, and enjoyed playing bingo and visiting the casinos.
Survivors include her beloved husband of 62 years, Joseph L. Russo, a son Joseph S. Russo and his wife, Nikki of Waltham, MA, two daughters, Joanne Feher and her husband, Joel of Waterbury and Debra Goff of Stratford, a brother, Sal Gentile and his wife, Marie of Stratford, a sister-in-law, Augustine Gentile of Southport, five grandchildren, Wyatt Goff, Dawn Feher, Tara Feher, Alex Russo and Julia Russo as well as several nieces and nephews.
She was pre-deceased by a brother, Louis Gentile and two sisters, Angelina Jordamo and Josephine Rynkiewitz.
Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 23, 2004 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Holy Family Church, Fairfield for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
