Obituary of Paul N. Rusnak

Monroe Resident Paul (Pavel) N. Rusnak, age 79 of Monroe entered into eternal rest on Tuesday morning, July 20, 2010. He was born in Carbondale, PA on March 30, 1931. He emigrated to Czechoslovakia as an infant, returning to the US in 1951. He served in the US Army in Germany in the early 50s, developing a life long interest in veterans and veteran affairs. He worked for relatives in a family plumbing business, eventually becoming a union steamfitter and working in power plants throughout New England, including nuclear facilities built during the 1970s. He was a life long member of the Plumbers and Steamfitters Union Local 777 of Bridgeport. He was pre-deceased by his loving wife of 45 years, Emily (Skibek) Rusnak, and is survived by his daughter Christine Plumeau of Trumbull and her husband Michael; his daughter Lisabeth Weber of Newtown and her husband Louis; his grandchildren Sarah and Jessica Weber and Stephanie and Mathew Plumeau and Brian and Andrew Weber; his companion Iris Robinson of Monroe as well as several nieces and nephews. He was very active at Christ the King church in Trumbull, serving as a Eucharistic Minister and usher. He was a past Commander of both VFW Post 10059 and American Legion Post 141 of Trumbull. Paul was loved by his family and friends and he will be missed dearly. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday July 23, 2010 at 8:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:30 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton.
