Obituary of Lucille A. Rottjer

Monroe Resident Lucille A. DeLelle Rottjer, age 90, of Monroe, died peacefully on Wednesday, February 15, 2012 at her home with her loving family by her side. Born in San Lorenzo, Italy on February 17, 1921, she was a daughter of the late Anthony and Josephine DiPaolo DeLelle. She graduated from the Stratford High School and the American Institute of Banking and worked in banking for 30 years, 25 years at the former Connecticut National Bank and five years at the former Mechanics and Farmers Savings Bank. She was made an officer in 1969. Mrs. Rottjer was a volunteer for the Boy Scouts of America, Troop #171, the Bridgeport Lung Association for more than ten years and the Monroe Library for nine years. She was a parishioner at St. Stephen Church and a member of their Rosary Altar Society since 1994. She was pre-deceased by her lifetime friend and companion Phil DiLeo. Survivors include a son, Fredrick Rottjer and his wife Maureen of Monroe, a daughter, Betty Lou Whitehill of Rutland, VT, five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren, a special niece, Dorothy Jurnak of Granville, NY as well as several additional nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, February 17, 2012 at 10:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Monroe. Friends may call on Friday morning from 9:30-10:30 a.m.
