Obituary of Irwin Rothstein

Founder of I.R. Industries Irwin Rothstein passed away June 3, 2010 at his home in Trumbull, CT after a courageous battle with esophageal cancer. He was 78. Born in the Bronx, NY, he was the son of the late Harry and Sonia Rothstein. He had been a long time resident of Westport, (38 years) until his move to Trumbull in 2005. Known professionally as Irwin Ross, he was a pioneer in the packaging and tape industry - founding I.R. Industries in 1977 now located in Bethel, CT. Irwin was married 42 years to the late Margit Rothstein and is survived by his son Eric and daughter Holly. In addition to his children, he is survived by his sister Zelda Hirsch of Deer Park, NY and grandchildren Mitchell, Jack, Max and Hannah. Funeral Information A Memorial Gathering will take place on Saturday, June 12, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family.
