Obituary of Harry G. Rosa

U. S. Army Veteran Harry G. Rosa, age 81, of Monroe, loving husband of the late Angelina Cannizzaro Rosa, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 29, 2011 at the West Haven Veterans Hospital. Born on January 14, 1930 in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Carmelo and Dora Terranova Rosa. Mr. Rosa was a United States Army Veteran and worked for nearly 50 years as a meat cutter prior to his retirement, including many years as a member of the meat cutters union, Local 371. Survivors include two sons, Carmen Rosa and his wife Karen of Monroe, Richard Rosa and his wife Anne Marie of MA, five grandchildren, Carmen Jr., Richard, Julian, Richard Jr., and Philip II, a brother, Salvatore Rosa and his wife Sandy of Milford and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, Philip H. Rosa. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 3, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm.
