Obituary of Adelard P. Rondeau

U.S. Air Force Veteran Adelard P. Rondeau Jr., age 62, of Trumbull, known to many as Del, passed away on Monday, December 7, 2009 at his home surrounded by his loving family, after a long illness. Born in Bridgeport on February 15, 1947, he was a son of the late Adelard Philip Rondeau Sr. and Joy Ryan Rondeau. A graduate of Central High School Class of 1965, he was a U.S. Air Force veteran. During his years of military service, he was very proud to have been a personal driver for former President Lyndon B. Johnson. Del was a retired Assistant Supervisor for the City of Bridgeport Board of Education supply warehouse with 20 years of service. He enjoyed dancing and collecting coins and was an avid fan of the Dallas Cowboys. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. Survivors include his beloved wife of 42 years, Mirta Martinez Rondeau, four loving children, Gina Rondeau, Paulette Jones, Adelard Rondeau III and his wife Lisa and Dawn Rondeau; seven cherished grandchildren, Ty, Arabella, Dylan, Aidan, Colton, Brendon and Nikko; siblings James Rondeau and his wife Pat and Joyce Bruno and her husband Richard as well as many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, December 12, 2009 at 9 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull and at 10 a.m. in St Andrew Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8p.m.
