Obituary of Thomas Romano
Shelton Resident
Romano - Thomas Romano Sr., age 84, of Shelton, the retired owner and operator of the Fairway Barber Shop, East Main St., Bridgeport, died on Saturday, February 24, 2007 at Carolton Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Peter and Carmella Romano. He was a life member of the Alhambra, a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, Mother Cabrini Council, a member of the St. Anthony Anchor Club and a member of the Trinacria M.A. Society. He was predeceased by his wife, Lucia Cerino Romano and two sisters, Rose Casa and Concettta Deyo Ferraro. Survivors include his children, a daughter, Carmela K. Zaccariello of Madison, two sons, Peter T. Romano of Allentown, PA and Thomas P. Romano Jr. of Shelton, five grandchildren, Theresa Emeret, Karen Klientop, Peter Romano, Annunziata and Luigi Zaccariello, five great grandchildren, Bianca, Nicholas, Tyler, Tanner and Jasmine and many nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, February 27, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and 9:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Monday from 3 to 8 p.m.
