Obituary of Salvatore D. Romano

Salvatore D. Romano, age 75, of Stratford, a retired master carpenter, died on Tuesday, November 21, 2006 at home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Stamford on April 11, 1931, he was a son of the late Vito and Carmella Ioanne Romano and was a longtime resident of Norwalk. He moved back to Stratford after retiring to the Delaware Shore for 10 years. Mr. Romano was a U.S. Navy veteran. He was a lifelong member of the South Norwalk Boat Club. Survivors include his beloved wife of 54 years, Sarah DiPietro Romano; a son, Dennis Romano and his wife Marti of Moraga, CA; two daughters, Jo-Ann Romano of Fairfield and Pamela Roman and her husband William of Trumbull; two brothers, Vito Romano and Fiorino Frank Romano, both of Stamford; a sister, Carmella DeCamp of Milford; two grandchildren, Sarah and Michael Romano and many nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by several brothers and sisters. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 10:30 a.m. directly in St. James Church, 2110 Main St., Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family. Friends may call on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
