Obituary of Hilary Rogers

Veteran of World War II Hilary (Buddy) Rogers, age 91, of Monroe, died peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, October 2, 2007. Born in Bridgeport on May 12, 1916, he was a son of the late John and Theresa Jackson Rogers. A U.S. Navy Sea Bee veteran of World War II, Buddy was a heavy equipment operator for Local 478 of the International Operators Union. Survivors include his beloved wife of 61 years, Marguerite Basista Rogers, four devoted children, Patrick Rogers and his wife Annette of Northford, David Rogers Sr. and his wife Donna of Lakeland, FL, Mary Lou Kellogg and her husband Richard of Monroe, Rosemarie Faust and her husband Peter of Naugatuck, two sisters, Joan Ezepchick of Milford and Kay Veglio and her husband Otto of Bridgeport, 11 cherished grandchildren, Lee Ann Bronner, Patrick Rogers Jr., Christopher Rogers, Rachel Payne, Brandy Geiger, David Rogers Jr., Melissa, Michelle and Richard Kellogg and Heather and Samantha Faust, 11 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, October 6, 2007 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, Monroe for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. John Cemetery, Monroe.
