Obituary of Marta Botelho

Dedicated Wife, Mother and Grandmother Marta Dias Botelho, age 68 of Bridgeport, beloved wife of Tomas Botelho Sr., died peacefully on Friday, April 13, 2012 at Bridgeport Hospital with her family by her side. Born on February 14, 1944, in Sao Miguel, Azores, Portugal she was a daughter of the late Manuel and Encarnacao Botelho Dias. Marta came to the United States in 1971, settling in Bridgeport. She was a retired employee of Dooney and Bourke Handbags with 25 years of dedicated service. Along with her husband they enjoyed spending many days fishing together. But most of all she cherished the time spent with her family, especially her grandchildren. She looked forward to their visits and they would light up her day. Marta was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who will truly be deeply missed. In addition to her beloved husband of 40 years, Tomas, survivors include two loving sons, Kevin Botelho and fiance Kelly Ryan and Tomas Botelho Jr., all of Bridgeport, two cherished grandchildren, Krysteena and Kyle Botelho, a sister, Maria Dias and her husband Arthur of Portugal, three brothers, Joao Dias and his wife Irondina of Fall River, MA, Antonio and Manuel Dias both of Portugal; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Monday from 4-8 p.m.
