Obituary of Marie Riso

Bridgeport Resident RISO Marie Vendetti Riso, age 85, of Bridgeport, died on Monday, March 10, 2008 in Northbridge Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on March 1, 1923, she was a daughter of the late Dominick and Maria Caputo Vendetti. A lifelong Bridgeport resident, Mrs. Riso was the center of all family gatherings and will be sadly missed as a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister. Survivors include her husband of 59 years, Michael L. Riso, a son Michael Riso and his wife Linda of Oxford, two daughters Diane DelMedico and her husband Perry of Fairfield and Maribeth Shamas and her husband Daniel of Trumbull, a sister Ann Trovarelli of Bridgeport, seven grandchildren, Adam Riso and his wife Taylor, Brooke and Ashley Riso, Matthew and David DelMedico and Daniel and Lisa Fratarcangeli as well as many nieces and nephews. A special thanks to her dedicated sister-in-law Charlotte Vendetti and niece June Vendetti. She was pre-deceased by two brothers, Joseph and Sam Vendetti, three sisters, Florence DeBiase, Antoinette Benedetto and Agnes Minniti and a son-in-law, Frank Fratarcangeli. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in Our Lady of the Assumption Church, Fairfield on Saturday, March 15, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the St. Monica Mausoleum at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
