Obituary of Jason P. Ribeiro

Devoted Father, Son, Brother & Uncle Jason P. Ribeiro, age 24, of Shelton, loving and devoted father, died suddenly on Monday, July 5, 2010. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of Iva Pinto and Antonio Ribeiro. Jason was a licensed electrician working for Signature Electric, Seymour and was formerly employed by Chestnut Electric. He was a graduate of Trumbull High School and also graduated from New England Technical Institute with an Electrician Certificate. Jason was a hard working person who could do anything when he put his mind to it. He was a fun loving kid who enjoyed a good laugh and time spent with his family. He was a dedicated son, brother and uncle, but above all he was truly a loving and dedicated father to his daughter Lucy and with great excitement he was awaiting the birth of his second child. He will be truly and deeply missed by his family and all who knew and loved him. He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents Jose and Maria Ribeiro. In addition to his devoted mother Iva of Trumbull and his father Antonio and his wife Maria of FL, survivors include his adored and cherished daughter Lucinda (Lucy) Ribeiro and her mother Jessica Cahill of Derby, devoted sisters Kristy Ribeiro of Bridgeport and Cristal and Sophia Ribeiro of Florida, his goddaughter and niece, Nyiah Colon, maternal grandparents Herminio and Lucinda Pinto of Bridgeport, godparents, Elizabeth Jorge and Fernando Teixeira, girlfriend Lindsay Filakovsky as well as several aunts, uncles, great aunts and uncles, cousins and many dear friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, July 10, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Stephen Church 6948 Main St., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m. Donations Information In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a scholarship fund to benefit his children through the funeral director.
