Obituary of Frank J. Remenar

Longtime Bridgeport Resident Frank J. Remenar, age 89, of Monroe, beloved husband of the late Mary Melnick Remenar, died on Friday, March 16, 2007 at Bridgeport Hospital . Born in Bridgeport on August 6, 1917, he was a son of the late Martin and Agnes Remenar and was a longtime Bridgeport resident before moving to Monroe. Mr. Remenar was a WWII Veteran serving in the U.S. Army. He was an employee of Bridgeport Brass for many years before his retirement and very active in local softball leagues as an umpire. Survivors include two nephews; James Remenar and Harry Lindberg as well as two nieces; Gail Libby and Joyce Tomasko. He was predeceased by a brother; Joseph Remenar and two sisters; Helen Tomasko and Mildred Lindberg. Funeral Information Relatives and friends may call on Wednesday, March 21, from 2-4 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. A private funeral service and interment will be at the convenience of the family.
