Obituary of Raymond N. Boos

Stratford Resident Raymond Neil Boos, age 87, beloved husband of Marilyn Ruth Bond Boos, died on Sunday, April 21, 2013 at Griffin Hospital in Derby. Born in Bridgeport on February 24, 1926, he was a son of the late Edward and Rose Buccino Boos. Raymond was a World War II veteran serving in the U.S. Army Air Corp. and a member of the VFW #9460 of Stratford. Before his retirement he was a design engineer at Sikorsky Aircraft with over 25 years of dedicated service. Ray was a real outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting, archery, fishing, camping, swimming, tanning at the beach and especially smoking his pipe. He could fix anything and spent a lot of time woodworking. Ray was a wonderful husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather and was loved by all who met him. In addition to his wife Marilyn of 63years, he is survived by his loving children, Bruce Boos of Stratford, Lynn Sherman of Stratford, Debra Fisher and her husband Joel of FL, sisters, Marie Filakovsky of Shelton, Jeanette Petersen of Stratford, six cherished grandchildren, Ashley Cardoza, Joshua Boos, Mark and Steven Sherman, Ian Fisher, Rebecca Hansen and a special great grandson, Matthew Sherman as well as many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by a brother, George Boos. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with full military honors will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery, Easton.
