Obituary of Vito G. Ranalli

Vito G. Ranalli age 94, of Bridgeport, beloved husband of Mary DAlesio Ranalli, died Wednesday, June 24, 2009 in Lord Chamberlain Nursing Home. Born in Branford on November 16, 1914, he was a son of the late Vincenzo and Sabastina Almondi Ranalli. Vito was a retired Master Mechanic for Julian Construction, Bridgeport. His passion was his work in his garden and he could grow anything. He passed his love of gardening on to his children and grandchildren showing them how certain things would grow, such as potatoes and peanuts. In his later years, he could be found reading the bible. He was predeceased by a daughter MaryAnn Ranalli Ryan, a brother, Daniel Ranalli and a sister Helen Ranalli Alan. In addition to his beloved wife of 71 years, survivors include two children, Pat Ranalli Wilson and her husband Jim of Shelton and Vito Ranalli Jr. of Trumbull, a son-in-law Alan Ryan of Fairfield, six grandchildren, Lauren Wilson Carrillo and her husband Alfonso of California, Jimmy Wilson Jr. of Bridgeport, Linda Wilson Criscuolo and her husband David of North Carolina, Mark Ryan and his wife Kara of Orange, Carla Ryan Zwaan and her husband Ard of Shelton and Michael Ryan of Maui, Hawaii, five great grandchildren, Jordan and Trevor Criscuolo, Jaylee and Zen Zwaan and Carly Ryan, two brothers George Ranalli and his wife Antoinette of East Haven and Frank Ranalli and his wife Ann of Branford, two sisters, Josephine Cinquanta and Clara Cinquanta both of Branford, a sister-in-law, Dorothy Ranalli, as well as several nieces and nephews and godchildren. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday July 2, 2009 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margaret Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
