Obituary of Michael J. Rampino

Michael J. Rampino Sr., age 97, of Bridgeport, passed away on Saturday, October 27, 2012 surrounded by his loving family. He was predeceased by his beloved wife, Lena Pugliese Rampino, his daughter, Patricia Provenzano, sister, Rose Morella, brothers, John Rampino, Corey Piccinino, and Joseph Piccinino and his dear friend Edna Willis. Mike enjoyed many hobbies which included gardening, and playing guitar. He loved to entertain his grandchildren with songs and magic tricks, especially at holiday time. He became an avid cook, proudly growing tomatoes and cooking eggplant, and always made sure the neighbors were fed. Survivors include a son, Michael Rampino of Milford, a daughter, Nancy Bonitatibus of Florida and Bridgeport, six grandchildren, Linda Sullivan, Karen Newell, Lisa Markelon, Tony Bonitati, Mike Bonitati and Marie Bonitatibus, a brother, Dominic Piccinino and his wife Frances, a sister, Phylis Esposito and ten great grandchildren. The family would like to extend a special thanks to his private caregivers of the past 7 months. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Friday at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in the Garden Mausoleum of St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm.
