Obituary of Harry C. Porter

Resident of Shelton Harry C. Porter, Jr., age 86, of Shelton, a retired installation repair foreman for Southern New England Telephone with 37 years of service, died on Wednesday, June 7, 2006 in Griffin Hospital. Born in New Haven on May 4, 1920, he was a son of the late Treasure Darby Porter and Harry C. Porter, Sr. A U. S. Navy veteran of World War II, he was an original member of the crew on the U. S. S. Massachusetts. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Evelyn Pulaski Porter, four children, Gail Heyse and her husband, Eric of Shelton, Lynn DeJesus and her husband, Joseph of LaGrange, KY, William Porter and his wife, Mary of Monroe and Beth Cairone and her husband, Carmine of Shelton, 11 grandchildren, Adrienne Drotos, Eric Heyse II, Alexis DeJesus, Damien DeJesus, Katie Porter, Jillian Porter, William Porter III, Colleen Porter, Maggie Porter, Carmine Cairone III and Christian Cairone. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, June 10, 2006 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull. Interment with military honors will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
