Obituary of Ernest C. Porco

Resident of Milford Ernest C. Porco, age 78, of Milford, a retiree of Dresser Industries, died on Saturday, June 5, 2010 in his residence. Born in Bridgeport, he was the son of the late Ernest and Florence Cappuccina Porco. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He had served as a trustee for Teamsters Local #145, a member of the V.F.W Post 9460, and the Dressers Quarter Century Club. He enjoyed dancing with his beloved wife and traveling with his family to places like Napa Valley, Aruba, Florida, Italy, Caribbean Cruises. Survivors include his beloved wife of 55 years, Elvira Manzo Porco, two daughters, Dawn Cataldo and her husband Robert of Milford, Candice Palange and her husband Daniel of Naugatuck, a son, Ernest Porco and his wife Marisa of Andover, two sisters, Ann Marie Meath and her husband Thomas of Monroe and Rose Ellen Santossio and her husband Neil of Ansonia, nine grandchildren, Jessica Howell and her husband Jason, Jason Cataldo, Justin Cataldo and his wife Valerie, Joshua Cataldo, Janel Palange, Jenna Cataldo and Peter Ireland, Jordan Porco and Taylor Porco, three great grandchildren, Jalyssa Howell, Anthony Simko and Brayden Ireland, several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 10, 2010 at 9:30 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:30 a.m. in St. Agnes Church, Milford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michaels Cemetery, Stratford.
