Obituary of Leon A. Popoli

Resident of Shelton Leon A. Popoli, age 77, of Shelton, a retired employee of the U. S. Postal Service, died on Monday, July 28, 2008 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bronx, New York on February 1, 1931, he was a son of the late Leon and Maura Cicoria Popoli and a U. S. Army Veteran. Survivors include his wife, Mary V. Marchesani Popoli, a son Charles Popoli and his wife JoAnn, a daughter Joanne Servedio, all of Shelton, two sisters, Jennie McDonald of Fishkill, New York and Sister Mary Aileen of Tuckahoe, NY, a brother, Tony Popoli of Staten Island, NY, four grandchildren, Lisa Marie, Jennifer, Lauren and Jonathan. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, July 31, 2008 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, 505 Shelton Ave., Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Riverside Cemetery, Shelton. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
