Obituary of Angelo Pirozzoli

U. S. Army Veteran Angelo Pirozzoli, of Trumbull, formerly of Pompano Beach, Florida, passed away on Friday, December 5, 2008 peacefully in St. Vincents Medical Center. He was born on April 27, 1917 in Plainfield, NJ. He was pre-deceased by his wife of 64 years, Marion (Spotlow) Pirozzoli. During his youth, Angelo played baseball with the Crimson Tide and football with the North End Rangers. At the age of 14, he began working at the Norwalk Vault Company, a family owned business, and retired as the CEO at the age of 62. A U. S. Army veteran, he served in World War II and received a purple heart. He was a scoutmaster when his sons were in the Boy Scouts of America. He taught a Power Squadron course and volunteered his service to help Senior Citizens file their tax return forms. Angelo was elected Secretary and President of the North Bridgeport Lions Club and was also a member of the Elks Clubs and Fayerweather Yacht Club. He and his wife Marion were avid golfers and members of Tashua Knolls and Pompano Beach Club. His survivors include two brothers, Alex and his wife Florence of Trumbull, William and his wife Joan of Vero Beach, FL, a sister, Elizabeth Russomano of Stratford, three sons, Charles and his wife Maryanna of Greeneville, TN; Robert and his wife, Phyllis of Shelton and Edward and his wife Su Chung of Trumbull; six grandchildren, Heather Earl and her husband Chris of Winter Haven. FL; Luke Pirozzoli of Vero Beach, FL; Jennifer Ajello and her husband Devon of Bel Air, MD; David Pirozzoli and his wife Aimee of Norwalk, Susan Prosnick and her husband Kevin of Stratford and Hannah Pirozzoli of Trumbull, three great grandchildren, Aidan and Elizabeth Ajello and Jacob Prosnick and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
