Obituary of Joseph M. Pirog
Joseph M. Pirog, age 88, of Trumbull and formerly of West Hempstead, Long Island, a self-employed real estate appraiser, died on Thursday, May 26, 2005 in Maefair Health Care Center, Trumbull. Born in Goshen, New York on September 8, 1916, he was a son of the late Joseph and Bronislawa Nowakowska Pirog and a U. S. Navy Veteran of World War II. Mr. Pirog was a past president of the Columbia Society of Real Estate Appraisers and a former member of the Knights of Columbus and the V. F. W.
He was pre-deceased by his wife, June Murphy Pirog and a son, Thomas Pirog.
Survivors include a daughter, Lorraine Donnelly and her husband, Tom of Trumbull and four grandchildren.
Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull on Tuesday, May 31, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be at the convenience of the family in Holy Rood Cemetery, Westbury, NY. There will be no calling hours. A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will also be held on Tuesday, June 7, 2005 at 11:00 a.m. in St. Thomas the Apostle Church, West Hempstead.
