Obituary of Robert T. Gagner

Robert (Bobby Gags) Gagner, age 91, of Monroe, beloved husband of Rosemarie Gravino Gagner, passed away on Monday, January 14, 2013 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. Born in Bridgeport on August 20, 1921, he was a son of the late Francis and Hazel Dragon Gagner. A U.S. Army Air Corps Veteran, he was a graduate of Bassick High School. Mr. Gagner was a retired salesman for Prudential Insurance Company with many years of service. He was an active parishioner of St. Stephen Church and was a member of the Monroe Senior Center where he took great pride singing in the chorus. In addition to his beloved wife Rosemarie, survivors include his four loving children, Gregory Gagner of Fairfield, Brian Gagner and his wife Linda of Shelton, Cassandra Guy of Monroe and Drew Gagner of Long Beach, CA, ten grandchildren, Christopher, Vanessa, and Michael Guy, Chad Gagner, Bria Lyn, Arron, Austin Gagner, Tatianni, Jayna and Emily Gagner, a great granddaughter Kaiden Rose Amendola, a sister, Jacqueline Carbone of Fairfield as well as several nieces, nephews and dear friends. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Francis Gagner. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Mary Spata and all the dedicated caregivers from Vitas Hospice for their kindness and compassionate care. Funeral Information A Memorial Mass celebrating his life will take place on Saturday, January 19, 2013 at 10:30 a.m. in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull. There will be no calling hours.
