Obituary of Theresa D. Pierelli

Resident of Bridgeport Theresa D. Gallo Pierelli, age 78, of Bridgeport, died on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 in Northbridge Health Care Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 11, 1931, she was a daughter of the late Alexandro and Dora Verrilli Gallo. Theresa was a member of the East End Yacht Club and was a past member of the PTA. She will be fondly remembered as a devoted mother and grandmother who loved to cook for her family and she will be sadly missed. She was pre-deceased by her beloved husband Richard V. Pierelli Sr., a son Richard V. Pierelli Jr., father and mother in law, Vito and Angela Pierelli, brothers, Herbert, Armand and Anthony Gallo and a sister, Carmella Gelormine. Survivors include two daughters, Claudette Pires and her husband Fernando and Angela Licari, all of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, Marissa Maiers, Nicole Pires, Fernando Pires Jr. and Juliana and Abriela Licari, two sisters, Jane Caggianello of Stratford and Ann Hiltz and her husband Henry of Devon, sisters and brothers-in-law, Thomas Pierelli of Bridgeport, Terry Costello and her husband Joe of Florida and Ramona Gallo of Shelton, several nieces and nephews and devoted friend Eleanor Frouge and her family. The family would like to extend a heartfelt thanks to Vitas Hospice and the caregivers at the Northbridge Health Care Center for all their care and compassion. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Monday, February 1, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Margarets Shrine, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Sunday from 3-7 p.m.
