Obituary of Celso Perelli

Owner & Operator of C. Perelli and Son Tile and Marble Celso (Charlie) Perelli, age 68, of Bridgeport, died peacefully on Sunday, June 3, 2007 in St. Josephs Manor, Trumbull. Born in Lucrezia, Province of Pesaro, Italy on April 23, 1939, he was the son of the late Ugo and Desolina Principi Perelli. Charlie immigrated to the United States in 1954 and settled in Bridgeport with his late aunt and uncle Elaine & Enrico Perelli. He married, worked and raised his family in Bridgeport. Charlie got his start in the tile and marble business at Benny Tile in 1958. A year later he joined Marani Tile and worked there until 1987 when he ventured out with his own business, C. Perelli and Son Tile and Marble. Charlie also served abroad in the United States Army from 1961-1963. He was very involved in the Bridgeport community through his 14 year service as President of the Marchegiana Italian Society Club and was recognized by the General Assembly of the State of Connecticut. In addition to his parents he was predeceased by a sister Natalina Tontini. Survivors include his beloved wife of 46 years, Carmela Cardarelli Perelli, four loving children, Daniela Perelli Balk and her husband Alex of New York City, Adriana Odice of Milford, Luigi Perelli and his wife Evanna of Shelton and Luciana Perelli of Bridgeport, three cherished grandchildren, Samantha Odice, Nicolina Perelli and Brennan Balk, three sisters, Maria Crudo and her husband Carmen of Branford, Giuseppina Nardini and her husband Tino, Marisa Sanchioni and her husband Franco, a brother Ginesio Perelli all of Italy, and several nieces, nephews, other family members and many friends. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, June 7, 2007 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mt. Grove Cemetery, Bridgeport.
