Obituary of Anthony R. Gabriel

Resident of Trumbull Anthony (Tony) R. Gabriel, age 82, of Trumbull, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 1, 2006 at St. Vincent Medical Center, surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport on October 26, 1923, he was a son of the late Joseph and Lucy (Chieffo) Gabriel. A graduate of Harding High School, Tony played saxophone in the marching band. Beginning in high school, Tony worked with his father in the family electrical, plumbing and heating business. The master electrician, plumber and heating contractor later established his own electric and plumbing business. He will always be remembered as a kind, gentle man with a wonderful sense of humor, strong family bonds and a willingness to help others. In addition to his parents, he was pre-deceased by his wife of 60 years, Sue (Assunta) Laporta Gabriel and a brother, Daniel Gabriel. Survivors include three daughters, Linda Klein and her husband, Barry of Stratford, Elaine Gabriel of Trumbull and Judy Cuseo of Fairfield, three grandchildren, Jason Klein of Stratford, Brian Cuseo and Danielle Cuseo, both of Fairfield, brothers and sisters, Fedare Hrinak of Trumbull, Carmela Kundrat of Stratford, Eileen Huda of Milford, Joseph and Donald Gabriel, both of Huntington as well as several cousins, nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Thursday, October 5, 2006 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm.
