Obituary of Florence Pavia

Florence Voccola Pavia, age 92, of Trumbull, a retired accounting clerk for the Town of Trumbull, died on Sunday, May 15, 2005 in St. Vincent Medical Center. Born in Bridgeport on April 24, 1913, she was a daughter of the late Luciano and Antoinette Lapillo Voccola. Mrs. Pavia was a member of the Board of Selectman of Trumbull, the Trumbull Democratic Womens Club and served on the Democratic Town Committee.

She was pre-deceased by her husband, James Pavia, Sr.

Survivors include her children, James Pavia and Gail Bokine, both of Trumbull, a brother-in-law, Anthony Scanzillo of Trumbull, grandchildren, Creighton Bokine, Michele Derbyshire and her husband, George, Scott Bokine and his wife, Tina, Susan Jacozzi and her husband, Christopher and Matthew Pavia, great grandchildren, Michael, Emily and Adam Derbyshire, Melissa and Patrick Bokine and Trevor Jacozzi as well as many nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 18, 2005 at 9:00 a.m. from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and 10:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. 

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Childrens Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
