Obituary of Steven M. Pastir

Owner of Trumbull Service Center, Inc. Steven M. Pastir, 62, beloved husband of Dorothy Bull Pastir and lifelong resident of Stratford, died suddenly Friday, May 27, 2011. Born October 3, 1948, he was the son Steve J. Pastir and Veronica Mae Petrovich Pastir. Steven attended Stratford schools and was a graduate of Bunnell High School, class of 1967. He earned his Associate Degree in Business from Housatonic Community College in 1971 and served in the Army National Guard. The owner of Trumbull Service Center, Inc. for more than 30 years, Steven was a well-respected member of the Trumbull business community and supported many local organizations. A past president of the Beaver Dam Lake Association, he also served tirelessly on committees of the Association working toward the preservation of Beaver Dam Lake until the time of his death. Steven's greatest love was spending time with his family and friends at Beaver Dam. He is survived by his mother, Veronica Mae, 91, of Milford; his loving wife Dorothy; son Steven Andrew Pastir and Kristiana Glavin of Trumbull; son Richard P. and wife Joanna Cerniglia of Trumbull and granddaughter Allison Cerniglia of Stratford. Steven is also survived by his brother Michael S. and Susan Pastir of Milford; his three sisters Dorothy A. and Frank Lutinski of Milford, Eileen M. and Robert Jess of Milford, and Deborah T. Pastir of Coventry; his sister-in-law Jacqueline and Jon Wright of Huntington, brother-in-law W. Robert Bull of Lakeland, FL, and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father. Steven will be greatly missed by his family and all whose lives he touched. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday June 4, 2011 at 2 p.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Relatives and friends may call on Saturday, from 10 a.m. until the time of service.
