Obituary of Francis J. Parker

Resident of Shelton Francis J. (Frank) Parker, age 75, of Shelton, passed away on Wednesday, September 5, 2012, at the Lord Chamberlain Nursing Center surrounded by his loving family. He was the husband of Kathleen Cozza Parker. Born in Bridgeport, on October 7, 1936, he was a son of the late Russell and Rose Farrell Parker. Frank had been employed by Nabisco where he had worked as a salesman for over 30 years before his retirement. Frank was an usher at Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford and also enjoyed going on cruises and traveling. Besides his beloved wife Kathy, of 33 years, survivors include his five children, James Parker, Wayne Parker, Tyrone Parker and his wife Marie, and Kelly Parker, all of Stratford and Terri Kovach and her husband Ron of Delaware, four grandchildren, Alicia, Morgan and Jillian Parker, and Charles Kovach, as well as several nieces and nephews. He will also be greatly missed by his puppy, Grady. Frank was pre-deceased by his brothers, Russell and Robert Parker and a sister, Helen Parker and his father and mother-in-law, John and Dolores Smith Cozza. Funeral Information Funeral services will be held on Monday, September 10, 2012 at 9:00 a.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Rd., Trumbull and at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Grace Church, Stratford for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon from 1:00 5:00 pm.
