Obituary of Albert J. Palatiello

Albert J. Palatiello Sr., age 85, of Trumbull, died on Sunday, May 22, 2005 at his residence surrounded by his family. Born in Bridgeport, he was a son of the late Francesco and Costanza DiSilvestris Palatiello, and was a World War ll U.S. Army Air Force Veteran. Mr Palatiello worked over 35 years with the US government, first as a postal employee and he retired as an agent for the Internal Revenue Service. He served as a past president for the National Treasury Employees Union. He was pre-deceased by three sisters and two brothers, Victoria Tesch, Doris Barbetta, Michael and Frank Palatiello and Helen Sansone. Survivors include his beloved wife of 57 years, Gilda Cennamo Palatiello, his devoted children, Deborah Clarkson of Groton, Albert Palatiello Jr. and his wife Diane of Trumbull, Constance Jones and her husband Peter of West Redding and Michael Palatiello and his wife Elisabeth of Guilford, grandchildren, Alexei Palatiello, Albert Palatiello lll, Brett Jones, Jennifer Jones, Alissa Palatiello, Jenna Palatiello and Michael Palatiello Jr., as well as many special nieces and nephews. Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, May 25, 2005 at 9 am from the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10 am in Christ the King Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Long Hill Burial Grounds, Trumbull. Friends may call on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m.
