Obituary of Albertina C. Paiva

Beloved Wife & Mother Albertina C. Paiva, age 54, of Shelton, beloved wife of Jose Paiva, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 20, 2013 at St. Vincents Medical Center surrounded by her loving family, after a long and courageous battle with cancer. Born on March 11, 1959 in Ardaos, Portugal, she was a daughter of the late Joao Paiva and Isabel Chaves and was an employee of Heims Bearings. Albertinas last years of life were incredibly tough; it was made easier by countless support of family and friends. She was a 23 year cancer survivor who loved life and making a difference in the lives of others. She was a loving and caring person who loved her family very deeply. She was a loving and dedicated wife, mother, sister, godmother and aunt who will truly be missed by all who came in contact with her. In addition to her beloved husband of 36 years, Jose, survivors include a cherished daughter, Jessia Paiva of Shelton, a sister, Josefina Paiva of Brazil, mother-in-law, Maria Paiva of Bridgeport, brothers-in-law, Joaquin Paiva of Orange and Antonio Paiva of Derby, godchildren, Sandy Gomes and Nicholas Paiva; as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, August 24, 2013 at 8:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 9:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Fatima Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in Mt. St. Peters Cemetery, Derby. Friends may call on Friday from 4-8 p.m.
