Obituary of Richard J. Orrico

Founder of the Putnam Agency, Inc. Richard J. Orrico, age 64, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Karen Merritt Orrico, died on Monday, February 13, 2012 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Greenwich on June 25, 1947, he was a son of the late Peter A. and Jennie DeSalvo Orrico. Mr. Orrico graduated from Greenwich High School and Norwalk Community College. A U. S. Army veteran serving in Vietnam, he was the founder and president of the Putnam Agency Inc. for over 25 years. In addition to his wife, Karen, survivors include his daughter, Meghan Orrico Stevenson and her husband Tim of Trumbull, and son, Jeff Orrico and his wife Tracey Webb Orrico of Bridgeport, five grandchildren, Merritt, Kenna and Delaney Stevenson, and Penelope and Lorelei Orrico,two brothers and sisters-in-law, Tom and Jody Orrico of Greenwich and Ron and Christine Orrico of Sandy Hook, and a sister and brother-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Baccash of Milford. He is also survived by several brothers and sisters-in-law and many nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Catherine of Siena Church, 200 Shelton Road, Trumbull on Thursday, February 16, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Nichols Village Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Wednesday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
