Obituary of James Harry Fry

Loving Husband, Father and Grandfather James Harry Fry, age 71, of Monroe, devoted husband of Elaine Capozzi Fry, died peacefully on Friday, February 14, 2014 at his home surrounded by his loving family. Born in Elizabeth, New Jersey on June 26, 1942, he was a son of the late George and Eleanor Christy Fry. Jim was a retired supervisor for Bridgeport Fittings with over 15 years of dedicated service. Always supporting his children while they were growing up, Jim was very involved in Monroe Pop Warner Football and Monroe Little League. A member of the Pequonnock Yacht Club and M.O.V.E. Yacht club, he had a passion and love for spending time on his boat and loved to be out on the water. But above all, he was at his best when spending time with his family, especially his two granddaughters, who were the loves of his life. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather who will be deeply missed. In addition to his devoted wife of 48 years, Elaine, survivors include three loving children, two sons, Anthony Fry and Laura DAngelo and her daughter Brittany Fracassini , Jeffrey Fry and a daughter, Melissa Fry Yerrington all of Monroe, two cherished and adored granddaughters, Emily and Lily; a sister, Louise Cosgrove of Stratford and her children, Ellie, Laura, Eric, Marc and Colleen; a brother, Raymond Fry of Stratford and his children, Aaron, Dana, Patti and Amy; sisters-in-law, Deborah Mancini and her husband John and their daughter Morgan and Donna Capozzi all of Bridgeport. He was predeceased by his father and mother-in-law, who loved Jim and considered him a son, Anthony and Theresa Capozzi, sister-in-law, Joanna Fry and an infant niece, Jessica Mancini. Funeral Information A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m. in St. Jude Church, 707 Monroe Turnpike, Monroe, on Wednesday, February 19, 2014. Interment will follow in St. Johns Cemetery, Monroe. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Tuesday, from 4-8 p.m. at the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
