Obituary of Armand H. Onorato

U.S. Army Veteran of WW II Armand H. Onorato, of Durham and formerly of Stratford, died peacefully at Middlesex Health Care Center, Middletown on Sunday, November 27, 2011 at the age of 90. Born in Bridgeport on November 24, 1921, he was a son of Aquilino and Domenica Onorato. Armand was a retired foreman for the Dupont Corp of Fairfield with over 30 years of service. A U.S. Army veteran of WW II he served in the 322nd Infantry Regiment and received the Victory and Good Conduct Metal, Asiatic and Pacific Campaign Ribbon with Bronze service as well as many other commendations. He was a loving uncle who will be deeply missed. He is survived by nieces and nephews, Margaret Curry and her husband Brian of Durham and their children, Patrick and Gloria, with whom Armand resided, Armand Onorato and his wife Grace and their daughter, Amber, Ron Onorato and his wife Mary and their children, Ron, Mike, and Ryan, as well as many additional nieces , nephews and grand-nieces and grand-nephews. He was pre-deceased by brothers and sisters, Frank Onorato, Pauline Lalli, William Onorato, Alfred Onorato, Philomena Bryan, Jean Dwyer, John Onorato and his twin brother Emil Onorato. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Wednesday, November 30, 2011 at 11:30 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 12:00 p.m. in Holy Rosary Church, Bridgeport for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment with military honors will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford. Friends may call on Wednesday morning from 10 am until the time of service.
