Obituary of Barbara H. Blake

Barbara Hurley Blake, age 86, of Trumbull, beloved wife of the late Warren C. Blake, died peacefully on Sunday, August 26, 2012 at St. Josephs Manor, Trumbull. Born in Passaic, NJ on March 4, 1926, she was a daughter of the late James P. and Mabel Fitch Hurley. Barbara graduated from Nutley High School in New Jersey and Katherine Gibbs Secretarial School in New York. She lived in Nutley, NJ until her marriage to Warren in 1949 and subsequently moved to Connecticut in 1950. They lived in Fairfield for many years where she was employed by the Board of Education at the former Nathan Hale School and for many years at the Fairfield Law Firm of Fitzpatrick and Fray. After moving to Trumbull in 1989, she was active in the Trumbull Historical Society and the Trumbull Womens Club for many years. She was pre-deceased by her husband Warren in 2007 and by her only sister, Patricia Schonfisch. Survivors include a daughter, Cynthia Cirillo and her husband Michael of Bridgeport, a son, Stephen Blake and his wife Karen of Orland, Maine; two grandchildren, Nicole and Edward Cirillo, as well as several nieces and nephews. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Saturday, September 1, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. directly in Christ the King Church, 4700 Madison Ave., Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will be private. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements entrusted to the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
