Obituary of Ruth A. Nucera

Ruth Gabriel Nucera passed away on Wednesday, March 7, 2012 at Gladeview Health Care Center in Old Saybrook. She was the wife of Philip Nucera for over 50 years. Born in Bridgeport on June 5, 1930, she was a daughter of the late Rocco and Effie Iacurci Gabriel. She leaves to mourn her passing three daughters, Lisa Duncan and her husband Fred of Guilford, Natalie Nucera and her boyfriend Don Balint of Westbrook, Diana Lovanio and her husband Richard of Seymour. She will be remembered lovingly by her grandchildren as Their Mema. They are Kendall, Amanda, and Cole, Duncan and Evan and Anthony Lovanio. She was predeceased by her two sisters, Dorothy Fasanella and Effie Hurst and two brothers, Richard (Dick) Gabriel and Joseph Gabriel. She is also survived by her sister Faith Junz of Florida and many nieces and nephews. Prior to moving to Guilford with her husband Phil in 2005, they resided in Trumbull for 41 years and Huntington for three years. While living in Trumbull she was an active member of St. Stephens Womens Guild. For many years Ruth free lanced in the promotional field and was a familiar face at the local retail stores in Trumbull and other towns promoting jewelry and perfume. The family would like to thank the staff at Gladeview for their care and kindness to Ruth these past three years and especially the various nurses and nurses aides. Funeral Information Friends are invited to meet directly in St. Stephen Church, 6948 Main St., Trumbull, on Saturday, March 10, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery, Trumbull. Family and friends may call on Friday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at The Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull.
