Obituary of Thomas J. Niedermeier

Thomas J. Niedermeier Sr., age 68, of Thomaston, passed away on Friday, June 14, 2013 at Waterbury Hospital. Born in Bridgeport on January 1, 1945, he was a son of the late Leo and Edna Holmes Niedermeier Jr. Mr. Niedermeier was proud to have served in the United States Navy and was a member of the American Legion in Thomaston. Before his retirement he was a manager at the former York Steak House. He was a volunteer at the CT Childrens Medical Center and Waterbury Hospital. He cherished the time he spent with his son and grandson. Survivors include a son, Thomas J. Niedermeier Jr. and his wife Michele of Milford, a daughter, Kerri White, two brothers, Leo Niedermeier Jr. of Monroe, Michael Niedermeier and his wife Cindy of Trumbull, a sister, Mary Niedermeier of Norwalk and a grandson, Benjamin as well as several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by his former wife, Janet Howarth Niedermeier. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, June 21, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 11:00 a.m. in St. Theresa Church, Trumbull for a Mass of Christian Burial. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery, Newtown.
