Obituary of Dominick Agria

Trumbull Resident Dominick Agria, age 90, of Trumbull, beloved husband of Carmela Pollicita Agria, passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 19, 2006 with his children by his side. Born on February 2, 1916 in Palermo, Sicily, he was the son of the late Margherita and Giuseppe Agria, and became a U.S. citizen in 1939. Since the age of four years old, he had been a resident of Bridgeport for most of his life before moving to Trumbull 12 years ago. A graduate of Central High School, he worked in Remington Arms, Sikorsky and retired from Burndy Corporation in Norwalk. Mr. Agria was an extremely handy person and had played the clarinet and saxophone with the Stratford Community Concert Band. In addition to his devoted wife, he is survived by two sons, Richard Agria and his wife, Gail, of Stratford and Daniel Agria and his wife, Carol, of Milford; four grandchildren, Thomas Agria and his wife, Nancy, of Milford, Carolyn Agria of Arlington, VA, Emery Agria and his wife, Tammy, of Milford, Danielle Simon and her husband, Charles, of Port Hueneme, CA; three great grandchildren, Amy, Nicole and Beckett and several nieces and nephews. He was pre-deceased by a son, James Agria, a brother, John Agria and four sisters, Anna Chewning, Rosalia Rega, Pauline Beach and Margarite Memoli. Funeral Information Funeral Services will take at 11:30 a.m on Wednesday, August 23, 2006 in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull. Interment will follow in Mountain Grove Cemetery of Easton. Friends and relatives may call on Wednesday morning from 11:00 a.m until the time of services.
