Obituary of Antoinetta Albanese

Beloved Wife, Mother, Grandmother and Great Grandmother Antoinetta Cusano Albanese, age 94, of Trumbull and formerly of Shelton, died on Saturday, November 6, 2010 in Bridgeport Hospital. Born in Savignano, Province of Irpino, Italy on January 8, 1916, she was a daughter of the late Louis and Maria Libera Candela Cusano. Antoinetta was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who will be dearly missed and remembered with much love. She bravely moved her family from Savignano to Connecticut for a better life and raised her children as a young widow. She was a woman of determination and spunk, an indomitable spirit who welcomed everyone to her table, adored her family and friends and embraced her faith devoutly. She was pre-deceased by her husband Bernard Albanese, a son, Frank Albanese, two brothers Corrado and Benito Cusano and a sister Giovanna DeProspo. Survivors include two sons, Louis Albanese and his wife Linda of Fairfield and Libby Albanese and his wife Elizabeth of Emerald Hills, CA, a daughter-in law, Carol Albanese of Milford, a sister Esther Agostini and her husband Enrico of Shelton, grandchildren, Annette Jensen and her husband Paul of Shelton, Gina Oaks and her husband Greg of Lafayette, NY, Louis Albanese II of Hong Kong, Christopher Albanese of Fairfield, and Michael and Jack Albanese, both of California, two great grandchildren, Connor and Madison Jensen, a special nephew, Marco DeProspo as well as many additional nieces and nephews in Milan and England. Funeral Information Funeral services will take place on Friday, November 12, 2010 at 9:00 a.m. in the Abriola Parkview Funeral Home, 419 White Plains Road, Trumbull, and at 10:00 a.m. in St. Lawrence Church, Shelton for a Mass of Christian Burial. Entombment will follow in St. Michael Cemetery, Stratford.
